Compare the current and target configurations
Start with a platform inventory and a description of the intended change. Mark components that will be retained, replaced or added. This makes it easier to identify dependencies and avoid ordering a module without the carrier, riser or cable its installation needs.
Request preparation checklist

Review and acceptance boundary
Review each proposed substitution against the full configuration. Preserve exact-part requirements when the platform documentation or maintenance policy makes them necessary; do not silently replace those constraints with a generic technology description.
