Build the requirement around the installed platform
A useful request identifies the server or workstation down to its machine type, board or chassis revision where available. Explain whether the task is a new build, capacity expansion, repair or migration. Include the present configuration as well as the desired change.

Review and acceptance boundary
Match a kit to the platform configuration instead of assuming that a chipset name or connector fit proves compatibility. Keep optional accessories visible as separate lines so that a seemingly complete quotation does not omit the parts needed for installation.
