Define source, load and installation conditions
Prepare power and rack requirements from the installed equipment and destination requirements. Separate the complete assembly rating from ratings of individual connectors or contacts. A similar shape is not enough to approve a replacement power connection.
Request preparation checklist

| Order scope | Length, quantity, labels, packaging, included mounting parts, destination and applicable approval requirements. |
Review and acceptance boundary
Have a qualified project engineer approve wiring and installation requirements. Record any change to contact system, conductor, termination or routing before approval; an image or a component-level rating does not establish suitability of a finished power assembly.
